Arctic Fox Den - #6 Westwood

K

The property worked fine for us and was much less expensive than the outrageously high summer hotel prices near downtown. There are some restaurants and an occasional farmer's market nearby. Be forewarned that the building can be quite warm in summer, likely due to laundry facilities downstairs, and the apartment does not have air conditioning. A little spare, but the couch, bed and chair were quite comfy and we appreciated the building security.

Our stay here was excellent! We are glad we spent two nights here, especially since it rained a lot the first day, which meant we had a good spot to hang out. It was very clean and comfortable, and in a convenient location to what we wanted to do in Anchorage. Great price! Communication with the host was excellent.

I enjoyed my stay much more than at the hotel I stayed at that was twice the cost.

Positive: There were laundry machines on the property stocked with soap. The room itself came with a nice kitchen and fridge. Negative: The sheets weren't washed properly and smelled like body odor. The toilets stopped functioning after one flush. Not great value for the price we paid to stay there. The apartment was surrounded by drug addicts and homeless folks.
